In a world of filters, apps, and instant images, truly hand-drawn artwork has become something rare.

Every piece is created slowly and intentionally — every stroke drawn by hand using pencil, pastel, and marker on thick, high-quality art paper. There are no digital shortcuts, no AI tools, and no templates. Just time, observation, and care.

What makes an Art by AJF commission different

Each commission is approached as an individual piece of artwork custom made for YOU.

I work intuitively, focusing on warmth, personality, and storytelling rather than strict realism. Something a little different from the norm.

Every piece is:

Individually hand-drawn from your reference photos
Created on premium art paper using professional materials
Carefully finished and presented in a rigid gift box
Made by me, start to finish, in my signature style

Because of the time and focus involved, I take on a limited number of commissions at a time.

Hand-Drawn Pet Character Portraits

A4 Single Portrait — from £155
A3 Single Portrait — from £175

Each portrait is hand-drawn from your photos, focusing on expression and character rather than strict realism.

Optional add-ons:

Additional pets or objects: £50 per extra (A3 only)
High-quality digital version (emailed): £10

Hand-Drawn Bespoke Subject Commissions

For one-off ideas that don’t fit standard categories — such as vehicles, objects, or unique personal concepts.

Each bespoke commission is approached with the same care, storytelling, and attention to detail as my portrait work.

Postage

UK postage for all Art by AJF artwork: + £12

Sent via Royal Mail Recorded First Class. To ensure safe delivery

Booking & turnaround

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking.
The remaining balance is due once your artwork is complete.

Upon booking I will be able to give you an estimate of when your portrait will be started.

Turnaround times vary depending on current workload, typically 2–3+ weeks.
If your artwork is intended as a gift for a specific date, please allow sufficient time when enquiring.
